Over his 30 year business career he has held several corporate executive positions and as the COO of Global Coaching Alliance, he has worked with many major global brands. Michael has been studying Buddhism since 1976, is an authorized teacher in the Kagyu-Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and has lectured at leading educational enterprises and practice centers throughout the US, Canada, Europe, Latin America & Australia. Michael Carroll is the author of Awake at Work, The Mindful Leader & Fearless at Work and over his 30 year business career held executive positions with Shearson Lehman/American Express, Simon & Schuster & The Walt Disney Company. Michael is presently COO of Global Coaching Alliance and has worked with clients such as Procter & Gamble, Google, AstraZeneca, Starbucks, RED, National Geographic Expeditions, Merck, Gilbane, Inc. and others. Michael has been studying Tibetan Buddhism since 1976, graduated from Buddhist seminary in 1980 and is an authorized teacher in Kagyu-Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Michael has a bachelor’s degree in theology and philosophy from the University of Dayton and master’s degree in adult education from Hunter College. He has lectured & taught at many leading educational enterprises including Wharton Business School, Columbia, Yale, Sydney and Toronto Universities, and many practice centers throughout the US, Canada, Europe, Latin America and Australia.
