My guest Eamonn O’Brien from Ireland has for several years hosted his own successful podcast show ‘The Reluctant Speakers Club’. Eamonn is also a highly experienced speaker and has run countless training courses about developing communication skills in the USA and Ireland. Therefore with my own Business Elevation show currently running to over 210 hours of interviews, I thought it was time to collaborate with one of my experienced podcast pals to share our top tips to creating a successful show and platform. Over his 25+ years in senior international sales & marketing roles, Eamonn O’Brien has run countless training courses on developing communication skills in USA & Ireland. As an experienced orator, Eamonn is passionate in his belief that everyone can learn to speak in public, if only they could be convinced that: a) it doesn’t have to be a hard skill to learn, b) it doesn’t have to take years to master, c) it can be learned in a safe way, & d) it can even be fun! Eamonn holds an MBA from Manchester Business School & a BSc (Management) from Trinity College Dublin. He is also a long time member of ESOMAR, world association of market research professionals. Prior to forming The Reluctant Speaker’s Club, Eamonn held senior management positions with several corporations inc Prudential & MCI. He was also vice president of sales for Nowtel.
