The Good, The Bad and the…Beautiful

We might be based in Leicestershire, but business opportunities this month have come from as far afield as New Zealand and Sweden. There’s a growing attraction and realisation that investing in developing yourself, your people and your clients, is a smart plan.

We’ve been asked to deliver an online coaching programme by one of the UK’s leading universities. It’s to support their international MBA students, to help them manage their study time well, so that they stand a better chance of getting the results they work so hard to achieve. So, there’s an element of psychology and practical skills being built into it – in an engaging way. It has to be engaging. Engagement is what we do.

We’re also delighted to welcome a new client operating in the healthcare sector where we’re supporting them to elevate their business to the next level, with monthly coaching and mentoring support.

At the end of this week, I’m delivering a brand-new team building and leadership development programme, designed by us and Carnegie Great Outdoors, at Leeds Beckett University. It’s a pilot course, based on my book, The Power To Get Things Done (Whether You Feel Like It Or Not). If we get the thumbs up we’ll be rolling out more, later in the year.

As always, I’ve had the privilege of interviewing some of the very best business leaders from the UK and America, on my radio show, this month. If you missed the live interviews, you can catch up with them here

On the home front, there’s been inspiration, overcoming adversity and failure! I saw heavy metal band – Iron Maiden, again. The last time was as a boy in 1983! I also had the privilege of meeting and sharing lunch with 3 times snooker world champion, Mark Selby – such an inspiration for my sons! And so too were the Leicester Riders basketball team, who we were also privileged to experience and meet, thanks to Chairman Kevin Routledge. I also persisted in overcoming my fear of snakes (need to keep an eye on his head!).

On the failure side, I took a day off to take a friend fishing. We sat for hours and caught nothing, and then, in the evening, watched my beloved football team get well and truly thrashed by his team, Tottenham – by 6 goals to 1. My son said ‘Dad, you’ve not had much luck today’! Overall though a great month!

Best Wishes,

Chris.

Chris Cooper brings insight, energy, dynamism and warmth to every interaction. I recently had the great pleasure of being his guest on The Business Elevation Show on Voice America and the experience was superb. This came as no surprise to me in that Chris is a leader in his field of developing engaging cultures, engaged leaders and teams. I recently invited Chris to speak at a meeting at the Fides Network in London and his engagement and impact with the audience left everyone feeling charged and positive, with the most fantastic written and verbal feedback from our members. Not only does Chris have an understanding of the dynamics of business, it is also his understanding of human nature and the key role this plays in driving business success that sets him apart. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chris to others, looking to elevate levels of engagement both internally and externally.
