Case Study – Transformative Governance & Leadership: Nottingham Trent University Executive MBA

Over the last 10 years we have been appointed to deliver a variety of programmes for UK universities, including Nottingham Trent University – one of the top 30 rated Universities.

At Nottingham Trent University we have supported the Nottingham Business School with many programmes ranging from Entrepreneur Incubator seminars for young entrepreneurs, typically starting their own business, to the flagship Executive MBA programme for senior leaders and business owners.

One very highly rated and popular module for the MBA programme has been the ‘Director’s Perspective’ delivered by Chris Cooper associate John Jennings.

This 4-day module aims to de-mystify the complex world of what makes for great governance and sustainable business success. It includes carefully crafted real-world organisational studies of governance in action – some good, some bad with a clear emphasis on the difference that authentic and committed leadership makes to what is sometimes (wrongly) seen to be a dry subject.

The delivery approach is highly interactive and participative – take a look at a sample of the exceptional feedback the programme and delivery team receive.

‘This is a great module. The team really brought the content to life and made it interesting. JJ is really engaging and very knowledgeable.’

‘I have really enjoyed listening to the lead, he is lovely chap with a sense of fun and a wealth of knowledge which eases Teams fatigue.’

‘The module leader was excellent at engaging the group and myself even over teams, which is a miracle on what would normally be seen as a dry topic.’

‘Best module we’ve had so far. Engaging style, lots of interaction, range of expertise’

‘I have really enjoyed this module. Perhaps most of all. NTU should consider delivering other modules in the way Director’s Perspective has been taught.’
