How do you truly elevate your leadership? Gene Early, Leaders’ Quest partner and co-founder of the first NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) training institute in Europe and I, Chris Cooper, have been co-creating our thinking on taking leadership to the next level. Having first begun this work reflecting by a Masai campfire in Kenya, it feels time in this era of unprecedented leadership to really consider this question. For the very first time, we are sharing our initial thoughts publicly in this deep interview on elevating leadership. It needed a special interviewer to bring out the depth of our thinking and my good friend Steven Morris the acclaimed artist, writer and entrepreneur was the perfect fit. His PhD is in leadership and organizational development and has published books, E-books, and articles that have been translated globally. Steven Morris is an artist, writer and entrepreneur who, over the 27 years, has a thriving painting practice. Over the last 23 years he has lead his company Mth Degree, a brand evolution consultancy that works with and advises companies to evolve brands to become more conscious and purpose-driven with deep and lasting impact on their cultures and the world of their audiences. He is the author of Brand Love & Loyalty and Humanizing the Customer Journey, and His forthcoming book entitled The Evolved Brand: How to Impact the World through the Power of Your Brand challenges current business assumptions and shows organizations how to create and deploy brands with purpose, artistry and impact. Steve has been a speaker for the past 22 years at national and international conferences on creativity and purpose-driven entrepreneurship. He founded and leads the San Diego-based Creative Sphere, a series of salon round-table conversations for business leaders on creativity and artistry at work.
Chris has 25 years of multi-functional business experience, working with global brands to board level as well as supporting and founding several entrepreneurial ventures. Chris and team today elevate business performance and engagement by acting as a catalyst to support the transition of businesses, leaders and teams to higher levels of performance. He has hosted the ‘Business Elevation Show’ on Voice America since 2011, building a massive network of global connections and audience in over 50 countries. He speaks on topics such as’Leading People’ ‘Engagement Starts With You’ and his book ‘The Power To Get Things Done (Whether You Feel Like It Or Not) published by Penguin Random House USA’.
